The most interesting thing on my Netflix cue is a movie titled, "The Future We Will Create". Netflix will explain it better than I can (below), but I'll say this: It's a really interesting view of a think-tank of sorts. It made me feel better knowing that something like this actually exists and that there are are truly creative people out there looking for the worlds solutions.
"Hailed "the hottest gathering in the world" by Wired magazine, TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual event where an eclectic group of brilliant minds exchange bold ideas for the future. Actress Daphne Zuniga is your host on this all-access tour of the conference. Guests include former Vice President Al Gore, musician Peter Gabriel, environmentalist Majora Carter, as well as comedians, authors and innovators from around the world."

I was lucky enough to view this movie with an out side the box thinker and shared a sense of both disbelief and calm that a gathering of people who do not conform to the normal constraints that seem to hold back the masses could all collectively harness their considerable connections, intellectual capacities and financial prowess to create solutions and innovations for the betterment of mankind. These innovations range from the interactive screen now on products like the I-phone to developing a worldwide early warning system to halt pandemics before they can gestate.
I like to think of the greater good we as a race are capable of and not the mass proliferation of the mainstream negativity that is the usual feedback; basically, a good movie and a better concept.
Sue,
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I need to add this to my netflix cue.
